This may be the fastest post I will ever write on here, as I had hoped to be in bed half an hour ago. I still have quite a few pages left to read in my book for class and I am hoping to have enough energy to finish it before bed. Let me quickly recap the past few days.
Saturday: My mom and I took care of some errands. We bought new windshield wipers, some decorations for my room, and went to the church so that I could set up a toddler church bulletin board. Which, I might add, looks amazing! I spent the day with Isalia and Angela! We had so much fun reconnecting. We had a wonderful lunch at Za's, took a road trip to Tuscola, shopped, and kept falling at the park! It was so nice to be able to catch up and talk about college. Plus the pictures are hilarious! I can't wait until we can hang out again over Christmas Break. After hanging out with mi amigas, I went to Cracker Barrel with my family. The service was lousy but the food was delicious. Kayla was planning to spend the night and work on our resource files. She spent the night...but the resource files did not happen as much. We ended up having a spa night. I only got about 2 pages done in my resource file before it was time for bed. Oh well...it was break after all.
Sunday: Kayla and I woke up late and dashed to Sunday school. After church my family had soup for lunch which was delicious! I packed up the car and caught up on some television with my family. I pretty much relaxed all day until it was time to head back to the Bourb at 7. When Steph and I arrived back on campus cars were EVERYWHERE, so we had to park in the lot and carry the stuff in from there. It took us 3 1/2 hours to decorate our room for Christmas and unpack. While I am extremely tired now, the room looks fabulous!
Today: Classes were in full swing as usual. Plus I have been trying to squeeze in some homework time where possible. I am in desperate need of finishing my resource file, but man is the thing time consuming. Prayers would be appreciated! I had Disciplers this evening. I love seeing the kids get excited about learning the Bible. Plus they are so cute when they get competitive in games! I can not wait until the program starts up again next semester. Well I am exhausted, and like I said, I really need to read.
So pardon the typos but I must get some sleep.

Thanksgiving Break
First I should apologize, as it has been far too long since I have written on here. The past few weeks have flown by as the end of the semester is quickly approaching. It seems like each class had tests, projects, and assignments due, but thankfully I planned ahead enough to be able to be calm through it all. Last weekend I even planned ahead enough to the point in which I had nothing to do. Luckily my mom came and saved me. We had a wonderful time in Woodfield. Anyway, I could go on and on about the past few weeks, but there is no since in going back that far. My Thanksgiving Break, however, has been going very well. Wednesday I worked in the morning, relaxed in the afternoon, and then decorated the Recreation Department in the evening. I stayed up late that night working on an assignment for geology. I slept in until 11:45 on Thanksgiving. I only woke up then because my mom woke me up. I felt bad, but man was I behind on sleep. Lunch was wonderful! I also watched the parade that I taped in the afternoon. I was not very impressed with the music in the parade. Anyway, I decorated the tree and spent some time with my brother until I spent the evening watching movies with my family. Today I slept in again (man I could get used to this!). My family went to delicious Monicals for lunch and then to the movie theater to see MegaMind. No one in my family was very impressed with the movie, but we still had fun. When I got back to the house I worked on some material for a bulletin board that I am planning to make for the toddler church room. Then I drove to Champaign and picked up Kayla to go to the movies again. We saw Love and Other Drugs. The movie was extremely inappropriate. I was disappointed. The plot was good but the movie needed to be censored. Either way it was fun to spend time with Kayla. While I should be working on my geology resource file right now, instead, I am going to finish this episode of What Not to Wear before I head to bed. I guess tomorrow will have to be the day I stop procrastinating, and finish the project.
While things have been crazy, which is clear by my lack in posts, I am grateful to know that the Lord is always on my side. I am never alone, and for that I am eternally thankful.
Night all! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
P.S. Please pardon any typos. I am getting tired and simply do not have the energy to proof this.

One of those days....
I feel like whatever mood I am in as I write this might effect the way I describe the day, but I will try to put my frustration of the moment away. :-)
I was able to sleep in until 11:30 am this morning, which is unheard of lately. When I did wake up my mom was ready to go to the mall, and I am always ready to go shopping! First my brother, mom, and I had a lovely lunch at Olive Garden, followed by shopping in which I bought new shoes, a new wallet, and some items to put in my box for Operation Christmas Child. After a wonderful shopping trip I went to Jacob's birthday party. The kids were so cute bowling. Plus Lauren learned how to tie her shoes and she showed me today! She is such a bright child! I can not believe she learned how to tie her shoes from a book. I definitely wasn't that smart when I was her age.
After the birthday party my family went out to eat with my grandmas at Cracker Barrel. I had some delicious pancakes. On the way to and from dinner I enjoyed reading a book from one of my favorite authors. It has been so long since I was able to fully enjoy reading a book. I am a literature minor so it is hard for me to not read often! Since dinner I have been enjoying watching some television with my family, and have definitely enjoyed my dad's delicious bread pizza. Well after one more episode of Chuck I think I will be heading to bed to read and get some more sleep. Luckily we get to set our clocks back tonight!

Home Sweet Home
Today I was able to sleep in until 7:30, which was the perfect start to the day! I always enjoying waking up when the sun is out so much more than when it is dark. My first class went by really fast, and even got out a few minutes early. I enjoyed the time I had in between classes, which I used to get some packing done. Then I went to my academic advising session as part of freshman connections, where the teacher proceeded to give me information completely different than that given to me by my individual advisor. I think the professor was a little irritated with the fact that I did not want to change my schedule as she suggested. Oh well. I have to do what is best for me. Anyway, after a shift at work and lunch in the dorm room, I attended my geology class which consisted of handing back tests and then reading comic strips that discussed relationships. If I had a nickel for every time the professor says "No one ever regrets waiting," I would be rich. I love Olivet! Since I had a good 3 hours before work would be over and I could head home I decided to finish some more homework and completed an essay that would have been a hassle this weekend. After work I headed home, enjoying the peaceful ride and the beautiful sunset that accompanied me. Being home feels amazing. First off we had a wonderful dinner tonight of beef noodles and mashed potatoes, one of my all time favorite meals. Delicious! I am also enjoying the free laundry! Thanks mom! Well it has been a wonderful evening of catching up and watching some television with my family (Man I am behind on my tv shows! You can tell that it has been forever since I have been home since our DVR is so full!). Well I better get back to wrapping up some homework so that I can enjoy my day tomorrow more.

Is it too early to be watching Elf?
Today was a wonderful day! While waking up at 6:30 was an unfortunate start, my class was a lot of fun today. We worked with a program to make graphic organizers based upon a lesson that we want to teach one day. I made mine based upon vowels and must say that I am pleased with how it turned out. I also enjoyed chapel today. The man talked about leaving your old name behind and embracing the new name given by God. It was a very moving service. I was also able to watch a movie in one of my classes today that showed the humor that comes about in teaching. I must say that today made me very excited to be a teacher! Once classes were done and I had a few shifts of work taken care of, I worked on homework. I am proud of the amount I accomplished today and am looking forward to a weekend that shouldn't be too difficult. OH...I almost forgot. I had a meeting with the registrar today and found out that I get 12 credit hours for my AP exam. I am only going to pay for 9 of the hours, but still! I feel so ahead, plus it has made my semesters easier. Well now my roommate and I are watching Elf. I have also been reading some. I love when I have time to relax. It feels like it has been forever since I have watched a movie. While it may be a tad too early in the season for elf, I just can't help it! I love Elf! I can pretty much quote the movie! (sorry Steph!) Well I am going to be a tad lame and go to bed early. Maybe I can get 8 hours in tonight!

Crazy and Wonderful
It absolutely amazes me how I can have one of the hardest days ever, and yet feel totally blessed. I started out the day with one of the classes I struggle with the most. The professor often lets us out late which is problematic when my next class is completely across campus on the top floor, and I am not in the best shape. Today my professor let us out five minutes late, a record late for him. I now had five minutes to make class on time, a walk that would take me ten minutes. The whole way I was praying to God. I asked during class that I would enjoy the class, especially the closing remarks, even if it meant us leaving late. I was completely amazed when I arrived to my next class on time. I do not know how God does it, but man does He provide. Right on time I arrived to my class huffing and puffing, but ON TIME. That set the tone for the rest of the day. I was going to enjoy the day because God was right by my side. He continued to help me through my classes and work. He also guided me through my three tests of the afternoon. By the time 4:00 came and my lab let out early I was in an excellent mood. Stephanie and I decided to have some time off campus to celebrate our hard work and studying yesterday, so we treated ourselves to some delicious Mexican food. It was nice having a roommate date night. The rest of the night included some brief homework and a teacher panel (that was completely overwhelming, and yet better to hear now than later!). I feel truly blessed today. I feel safe again on campus, knowing that the accusation of an abduction/sexual abuse taking place was false. I do mourn today, though, as my campus remembers a 33 year old junior that was killed in a car accident on her way from her home to school today. I pray that healing will take place within her family and friends, but also within the students and faculty that were lucky enough to enjoy her presence. Well what a day it has been! God is truly amazing, and I know that He will be with Us all!

Studying, Studying, and Oh Yeah...More Studying
The past couple of days I feel like I have barely been able to leave my room. I have three tests tomorrow: a geology lab exam, geology exam, and Christian Formation exam. If anyone wants to know the Apostle's Creed or the Geologic Time Periods I'm your gal. When I say I have been studying all day, I am not joking. I had an early class today, was fortunate enough to get a quick nap in before my next class. I then proceeded to work, grabbed a quick lunch, studied, worked, studied, grabbed the same thing for dinner as a I had for lunch, worked, and studied yet again. I sure hope I do well on my tests tomorrow to account for this studying. Somehow I never feel prepared enough, but I guess that is to be expected. Well I wish I had some new and fascinating information to put here, but unless you want specific information on subjects, I shall call it a day, as I have an early morning class again tomorrow.
