Summer Storms

Well in deciding that it was time to post another entry in this blog I have realized a few things.  The first is that I am horrible at regularly posting blogs.  Just like with a diary I cannot manage to convince myself to write everyday.  The second thing I realized is how quickly the last few weeks have flown by.

Since the last time I wrote a lot has changed.  My first year of college officially came to an end.  :-(  I cannot believe how fast the year went by.  There are some many wonderful memories of the first year that I will cherish always. Leaving to head home for the summer was hard.  I mean I do not get to see the people I consider my family for a whole 4 months.  Though some promised me a visit this summer....and I plan to hold them to that promise.  

Now that summer is finally here I am busier it seems than when I was at school.   For some odd reason I decided that it was a good idea to try and graduate early and therefore take two summer classes online.  The weather class seems to be giving me a difficult time but I am doing my best to work through the assignments and finish it as quickly as possible.  My western civilization class just started today, so let's be honest, not much has been done for it yet. ;-) I mean it IS summer.  I am also spending much of my time this summer working, which is a blessing since my December trip is not going to be cheap.  Today I finally read the first book of the summer.  It is probably nerdy to admit this but one of my favorite things about summer is the opportunity it provides me to read tons of books.  Any suggestions on books to read?  Anyway, I am also hoping to take some trips this summer.  Six Flags is a must and I am taking Kayla to a Cub's game for her birthday.  Oh and my family from Florida is coming to stay for a month.  I can't wait for this summer to really begin!  Any suggestions as to other activities this summer?  I always feel that there is so much that could be done in the summer but if I don't plan ahead I tend to only look back and realize what could have been done.  

Well now that I have completed some homework today and enjoyed listening to the thunder storm for the past few hours I believe it is time to enjoy some Netflix!
